FOV option in settings (you could change this via.Dunno if this was in the original (think it was up to 5.1), but it has 7.1 surround.Museum with concept art and monsters that didn't end up in the final game.3 short Challenge Rooms with their own achievements.Director's Comentary (you find record tapes with real life interviews), about 10-13 of them I think.New Game+ on the difficulty you finished the game on (you get to keep gear, plasmids, tonics and money starting with the 2nd level). So I have to change the default inputs before playing, and this problem is pretty anoying too, yet obviously not connected to the blackscreen problem. I don't know what the problem is, but it's a pretty anoying problem.Įdit : And, new problem, the game seems to reboot my modifications in the options when I quit the game. Notice that if you use my method, every Alt+Tab you'll make will take you out of the game's window, and that you'll be in windowed mode if you go back to the game's window, so you'll have to change again from the game's options. Then I can change it back in Fullscreen from the game's options and it still runs fine. Then I run the game in the same way I did before, it starts in a window and runs perfectly. I took a look in the folder of the game on my computer, found the "Default.txt" file in the "Bioshock Remastered" folder, found the "WinDrv.WindowsClient" line, and modified the following "StartupFullScreen" line as False. I can also heart the sound of my pointer when it goes on "Continue", "New Game" and the other lines, but I can't see anything. I'm still able to Alt+Tab and everything works fine. When I click the icon on my desktop, the game launches but I get a black fullscreen. The sound still works, even can here menu when in use but can't see anything but a black screen. Once you reach the main menu again on the desired display, go back to full screen and you should be good to go.Īnother thing to mention is that at least in my case this thing has a HELL of a memory leak and the resulting "low memory" warnings that Windows issues can screw this up so beware of that. After this I can exit the game and switch the game back to my main display. From there I force the game to windowed mode. My _termporary_ fix is to set my monitor as the primary display and open the game until I can reach the options menu. I found a _temporary_ way to fix this for my particular case but not a permanent fix. If, however, I set one of my monitors as the main display and launch the game, it runs just fine. IF I set the TV as the primary display and attempt to open the game there, it goes to black screen as many of you seem to be experiencing as well. Two of them are proper monitors that I usually run things off of, connected via DisplayPort (I don't know if that is relevent but if so is worth mentioning), the third is an LCD TV connected via HDMI. I have 3 1080p displays connected to my desktop. So odd thing, I get the same behaviour with a bit of a caveat.
